Tsǫt'aan is a title of imperial rank in Dzenic and some human languages, equal in status to Emperor and someone who rules a Dze Confederation. The title is genderless and the spouse of the Tsǫt'aan bears the title of Ṕaaq́t'aan, meaning "second leader".
It can also be translated as "T'aan of T'aans" or "Great T'aan", with the former being the most common rendition for people outside the confederation.
Etymology
The main components of the word Tsǫt'aan translate to "Great leader" and it's the Old Dze word for the title, however multiple derivations of it exist all across the dzenic linguistic sphere. Due to the title still being in usage and having a relatively well deciphered etymology, the intricacies of it have were resolved early in the study of the Dze.
