Politics of Fyngaria takes place in a framework of a federal, parliamentary, representative democratic republic. The political system is outlined in the 1968 constitution which reformed and democratised country after the August revolution. The fundamental principles of the constitution are protection of human dignity, separation of powers, structure of the federation and the rule of law.
The executive power is exercised by the Federal President and the Federal Government which is headed by the Federal Chancellor. The legislature takes place in a unicameral Federal Parliament with 250 members elected every four years through direct elections by proportional representation and a special legislative body, Federal Council with 11 representatives from Federal states of Fyngaria.
