The 1st Battle of Alẋtśaq was the battle that began the Last Dze-Human War; occuring on the 29th of Primo 1583, it marked the end of the truce established at the end of the Thuhaq-Alẋtśaqi War that had concluded a mere year before and was fought between the coalition of tribes under the banner of T'aan Ẋṭeḿł̣oq́ and a Thuhaqi army under the command of general Qharaq Iz'udan.
After being informed of the approaching Thuhaqi army, the T'aan had organized the evacuation of his people and prepared to meet this army near a chokepoint in the Alẋtśaq valley and, after succesfully bogging them down with traps and obstacles across the valley, the army was swiftly encircled and destroyed. This battle is pivotal in being the second incident that convinced Ẋṭeḿł̣oq́ to complete the process of uniting the Dze and their allies, a process that would take him the next thirty years of his life.
