The Hellonian Realm (Hellonian: ᚻᛖᛚᛚᚨᚾᚦᛖᚱ ᚱᛉK Hellander Rijk, Ellashian:ᚻᛖᛚᛚᚨᚾᚦᛋKᚨ ᚱᛁKᛖᛏ Hellandska Riket; both mean the Hellonian Realm) , is a sovereign state and constitutional monarchy with territories on Veterra, the Lilotukan archipelago, the Menako Islands, the Sevros-Islands, Ebure Isles and on Novallonda.
Hellona, Norsund, the Menako Islands, Lilotuka Island, the Sevros Islands, Tirpitz/Driespitsen, the Ebure Isles, and Moundra and Tyrean are constituent countries (rijkslanden in Hellonian; Countries of the Realm) and participate on a basis of equality as partners in the Kingdom.
History
The establishment of the Hellonian Realm began with the settlement of Hellonic peoples on Norsund, the Menako Islands and Eburon. These settlements were created during the Viking age of Hellona where trade routes to new found lands were created. Voyages between these regions became more common throughout the ages. Even though these lands were formally under the Lord of the Kingly Lands, and as such under the jurisdiction of Hellona, no real administration was established until the federalization of the Hellonian mainland. During the growth of the Hellonian trade empire, Hellonian influence on the southern parts of the Vismar region grew. These lands later became known as Sconia and were formally recognized as Hellonian territory in 1441. It also became the first centrally administered colony of Hellona.
With the signage of the Act on the Territories of the Realm, all lands that were de facto ruled by the King of Hellona were officially declared integral parts of the Kingdom of Hellona itself. The official admission into the Kingdom happened in 1786 for the Menako Islands and 1816 for Norsund. The state of Eburon was yet to be decided. The wish for self-governance and independence grew under the Eburonians and the Hellonian government decided to not yet declare it integral territory, as this could complicate the issue. In 1864 it was decided a referendum would be held under the Eburonians on the state of the territory. The Eburonians massively voted for independence and gained it in 1866.
The devastating Great Trident War forced the island nation of Lilotuka to seek refuge under the neutral country Hellona. It was administered as a lower between equals. The native monarchy was kept and day-to-day administration was in the hands of the Lilotukans.
Problems arose with the highly centralized form of government the Hellonians had created by formally integrating the territories into the state itself. The volume of both the Rijksdag itself and its tasks began to grow exponentially. The support for self-governance also grew in this time period. All corners of the Realm decided the current structure couldn't be maintained much longer. Norsund gained home rule in 1879, while the Menako Islands gained it after joining with the former South German Menako Islands as one constituent state under the newly formed Germano-Hellonian (and later Vismar) Union in 1886. In 1887 the Charter for the Kingdom was created, which created the constituent country system still used to this day and officially established the entity called the Hellonian Realm.
Shortly after the establishment of the Vismar Union in 1888, Moundra and Tyrean fell into despair. Civil unrest became widespread in the country. Emperor Zasl I plead the Vismar Union to help quell the unrest, having troops nearby the new protectorate of San Cortez. Moundra and Tyrean was taken into the Vismar Union as a protectorate and peace quickly returned. In 1913 Sconia was traded for the USGS colonies of Tirpitz and the Sevros Islands. These lands almost immediately gained home rule.
After the breakup of the Vismar Union in 1912, several states were divided between the member states. The Menako Islands in its entirety was given to the Hellonian Realm, as was the dependency of Moundra and Tyrean.
The brother of Queen Amalia, Prince Frederick, was shot by Norsundish separatists. The revolt was put down by the Norsundish Special Guard, with five people being convicted of assassination attempt and the killer being locked up for life. A peaceful referendum was put forth by the Hellonian mainland, but was rejected by the Norsundish parliament, one of the reasons being economic dependency on Hellona and the Realm. Revolts all around Norsund sprang up for independence but tension began to decrease because of government action in both education about the realm and police force. The event is still considered one of the dark periods of recent Hellonian history.
In 1942 a new Vismar Union was declared with the Hellonian Realm as one of its members, later that year it was decided the union would not be the federally administered union it was thought to become but a decentralized commonwealth.
Countries
Hellona
Hellona is the main constituent country in the Hellonian Realm. It is bordered by Arialucia in the north and the Latvian Spartopian Veterran Property on the east. It has a coastline on the Vismar Sea on the western side. Hellona has an estimated population of 77 million and is the largest of the countries in terms of population.
The majority of Hellonians are Hellonic (sometimes called Andusians to differenciate them from Hellonian citizens), and the second largest group being the Ellashians, a group with a slightly different culture and their own language, Ellashian
The state has always been very liberal and democratic, starting with the creation of the Dag (diet) in 1280. Social Democratic parties have been ruling the countries since the 19th century, and this is why Hellona has very relaxed laws on drugs and has great equality.
Norsund
Norsund is a constituent country of the Hellonian Realm located on Novallonda. It is the most sparsely populated country on Novallonda. The capital and largest city is Möskholm, which together with surrounding areas are home to over two-thirds of the population.
According to Hellonian myths, settlement started at around 1069, when Hellonian traveler Derrik Musterlingen became the first permanent settler. In the next few centuries, settlers from Hellona and the Ellash province came. The indigenous people have adapted to many Hellonian and Ellashian customs and culture. Most settlers were Ellashians, escaping the low equality in Hellona, this is why the main language of the colony is Ellashian rather than Hellonian or indigenous languages.
Norsund has a open economy and has a low tax rate compared to Hellona, but maintains the same Nordic model standards as its colonizer and provides universal health care and tertiary education for its citizens. Norsund has been a economically and socially stable country for some time.
Norsundish culture is based on Hellonian and Ellashian culture, but is also mixed with native culture. Most Norsunders are descendants of Ellashian and Hellonian settlers or native tribes.
Menako Islands
The Menako islands (Hellonian: De Menakoepen, German: Die Menakupen, Menakupan: Den Menakupor) is constituent country of the Hellonian Realm. It is located in the middle of the Danonian Sea. It is a country that was made into one when the kingdom of Hellona and the USGS joined together. When the Vismar split it was given to Hellona as one.
Lilotuka Island
Lilotuka Island, officially the Country of the Realm of Lilotuka Island. (Lilotu: He moku‘āina ‘o Lilotuka Mokopuni, Hellonian: Rijksland Lilotuka) is an Overseas Territory in the Hellonian Realm. It is located on the Equator in the Arcaidian Ocean. Lilotuka Island has an estimated Population of 20,650, with 70% of the population live in the capital of Port Oululano. There are 4 islands that make up the territory.
Tirpitz
Sevros Islands
Sevros Islands (Also called the Hello-Sevros Islands, so not to be confused with the Slavic Sevros Isles nor the whole archipelago, which also includes Dutch Melanesia) is an island country consisting of an archipelago of small islands in the Arctos Ocean. The area is approximately 61,022 square kilometres (23,561 square miles) with a 1913 population of 48,700. The islands are an autonomous country within the Hellonian Realm.
Ebure Islands
Moundra and Tyrean
Moundra and Tyrean, officially under the Realm Constitution the Dual Kingdom of Moundra and Tyrean, is a semi-autonomous country under protection and a part of the Hellonian Realm, located on Veterra. Moundra and Tyrean became a Vismaric protectorate under the Vismar Union, after the civil unrest in the country. After the Vismar broke up, the San Cortez-Moundra and Tyrean Autonomous Protectorates was split up in German San Cortez and Hellonian Moundra and Tyrean. Moundra and Tyrean has a co-king under the Hellonian monarch, acting as head of state for the Moundra and Tyreanian country while the Hellonian monarch represents them as country under the Hellonian Realm.

The Hellonian Realm is the souvereign state compromising of constituent countries.
Charter and constitutions
All countries within the Hellonian Realm are subordinate to the Realm Constitution (Hellonian: Rijksgrondleg, Ellashian: Riksgrundlag); which works together woth the Realm Act to form the basis of the Hellonian Realm and its institutions. Each souvereign state also has their own constitution or multiple fundemental laws. In Hellona proper this means the country is subordinate to the Realm Constitution, the Instrument of Government, the Fundemental Law on Rights, Freedoms and Religion and the Realm Act.
Government
The Hellonian Realm is governed by the Realm Council, in which countries are given seats based on their population size. These seats per country are divided based on national elections. There is no true government, the Great-Minister of Hellona is automatically the leader of the Realm Council and the ministers of each country are assigned minister posts in the Realm government. This is largely because the Hellonian Realm isn't the primary government of all the constituent countries, only coming together in times of distress or issues on a fundemental level.
The monarch of Hellona is the head of state of the Hellonian Realm. In other constituent countries the monarch is represented by a governor.
