She was baptized at Sancta Sapientia on 13 September 1970, by Archbishop of Castellum Thomas Appuleius. Born during her mother's reign, Alexandra was afforded the the honor of Porphyrogenita ("Born in the Purple"). She was named Alexandra for her great-great grandmother Alexandra of Ghant.

Education

Alexandra's education was handled by a governess between the ages of five and eight. She was educated by private tutors until the age of 17, and unlike her older siblings did not attend school. Alexandra was said to have a love of reading according to one of her former tutors, who described her as a"calm, proper, and even keeled child...who enjoyed a good book more than anything else." Alexandra and her younger sister, Princess Eirene, took dancing, and music lessons in order to socialize with other children her age. At the age of 13, Alexandra played violin in the Castellum Youth Symphony, where she continued to play until age 17. Along with other members of her family, Alexandra often visited the Imperial stables as a child for horseback riding.

Marriage

Alexandra first met her future husband, Theophilius Pollius, 19th Duke of Florentia, at a ball to celebrate her sister Princess Isadora's 15th birthday, in 1983. Alexandra and Florentia were rumored to begin courting soon after, and regularly exchanged letters. The courtship was later confirmed by Imperial Offices in 1987, shortly before Alexandra's 17th birthday. Alexandra became engaged soon after on 20 August 1987.

On 22 July 1989, Alexandra married Theophilius Pollius, 19th Duke of Florentia at Basilica of the Blessed Virgin, in Adrianople. After a brief honeymoon, Alexandra and Florentia travelled to Belfras to represent Empress Diana Augusta for an imperial tour. She and Florentia have five children: Agnes Pollia, (b. 9 February 1991); Jason Pollius, Count of Antemnae (b. 29 March 1997); Leontius Pollius (b. 12 September 1999); Anna Pollia (b. 20 September 2003); and Marcellus Pollius (b. 30 June 2008). She currently has one grandchild.

If Alexandra were to utilize a surname, it is likely that she would take on the Claudia Anicia name; however, it is also possible that the surname for all children of the Sovereign to simply be "of Latium". For ceremonial and formal purposes, all children of the Monarch - with exception to the heir apparent - are entitled to the rank of "prince" or "princess" after their Christian name followed by the territorial designation "of Latium." As such, Alexandra was styled as "Princess Alexandra of Latium" until her marriage After her marriage, Alexandra discarded her territorial designations and assumed the title of her husband, a Latin peer.
