The 1984 Seketese General Election was held on March 23 1984 to elect members of the Commons Council, the lower house of the Hérvynsken. The election was called after 4 years of majority Socialist rule. The President of Seketan, Reþon Barreos formally dissolved the Commons Council on 1 February 1984 at the request of the Prime Minister Patjik Moulette.
The election saw the Socialists keep their majority government, albeit with a smaller seat count. Moulette would remain as the head of a single party government for another 4 years. The Democrats, under the leadership of their new leader Mailiak Jeanrsen, regained most of their 1980 loses and remained the largest opposition party. The Kjedorates saw a near total collapse of support after their rookie leader Tim Hoerson announced his support for a return to authoritarian rule. Nearly half the Kjedorate caucus left the party after this announcement and went on to form the National Conservative Party, who won 16 seats coming in 3rd place. Smaller parties such as the Labour, Liberals, and Sek. Progress all had mediocre results, with no major gains or loses.
