Individual Questions //LEADERSHIP// |
Kerry Managual | How will you pay for your promises? | "I would be redirecting funds, notably from the military, and put them into education and health."
Martin Da Luz | What makes you a better leader than previous PCP leaders? | "There is, no doubt, that the PCP is the best party in, not just Vitosium, but the whole world. Not only are we more than capable but we've shown that. I will continue the legacy of our previous PCP leaders like Raymond Venancias and make our party even better, which, yes, is possible."
Vincent Gatostico | Should you be re-elected, what is one promise you plan to uphold that you failed to do so during your term? | "I'd like to help those on disability and welfare. It was something that I had promised to do but failed to do."
Leo Afonsono | The Vitosian Freedom Party is a very recent founded party. What about your new party allows the people to trust you? | "We may be new but we are already a very powerful party. This is the future of Vitosium right here. The strength of Vitosians is what powers us."
Chelsea Espindola | You were the former Minister of Finance. How does that translate into the responsibilities of a Prime Minister? | "I was the Minister. I was in a role of leadership. Unlike the others here, I've been in a role of leadership my entire life, whether as a professor of economics or even Silvia Kellend's pick for the Minister of Finance. Not only do I know what I'm doing, I'm more than ready and more than capable to take on the responsibilities."
Raquel Nobriga | You have a former Prime Minister as your Deputy pick. Do you have anything to say to those believing that this would be Michelle Zimmermore's 2nd term? | "Michelle Zimmermore may be my Deputy pick but she is not the Prime Minister candidate you see before you. I am an incredibly strong-willed and tough opponent to those you see here. I chose her because we share the same values but I promise you that I will not be in her shadow."
Face To Face //LEADERSHIP// |
Martin Da Luz Vincent Gatostico |
Open carry. Closed carry. No carry. As a nation, what are your views on our citizens carrying? | Martin Da Luz "It's important as a nation to keep ourselves safe, especially when you have predators out there that want your kids like workers in Day Cares. If one Day Care worker even touches your kid, you should be able to give them a warning shot in the leg. How else will you keep them safe if you don't teach those pesky predators a lesson? What about the criminals? Somebody steals your garden gnome, cap 'em. Somebody shoplifts, cap 'em. The world would be a better place is the good guys were armed. The ones who know what justice truly is. Everybody who supports PCP should be armed. Everybody who supports any other party should have their guns taken away."
Vincent Gatostico "No carry is where I stand. The everyday citizen can be such a wildcard and you can't account for every single individual's mindset to know if they would be a danger or not with a gun. Say if you want to head to a cafe and you see somebody with a gun in the open. You aren't going to feel safe. If you also have the need to always carry a gun on you, are you truly in the mindset to be having one? Protection is nice but paranoia is where I draw the line."
Chelsea Espindola Leo Afonsono |
What are you going to do about the overdose crisis in Primos (Vitosian province)? | Chelsea Espindola "I'd like to start off with saying that there is no possible way we can ensure nobody takes hard drugs in our nation. The best approach would be to give away kits designed to help them should they begin to overdose."
Leo Afonsono "The overdose crisis in Primos? What about the ones in Kingsland? Ciunia? Tolagovia? Why just Primos? People just assume that, due to Primos being the manufacturing enterprise province that there is some sort of big drug issue. There is no overdose crisis in Primos. I have not seen a single person overdose in Primos. Now, in other parts of the country, my solution would be to make sure that they don't overdose. Give them an ample amount but nothing to cause an overdose. Yes, I'm suggesting we start legalizing other drugs."
Everybody | What will your party do to help those with mental health issues? | Chelsea Espindola "Our nation can't function if we can't work together as a team. I would like to open more facilities and programs that would help everybody. That's only the beginning. We need to keep our mental health as strong as we can."
Kerry Managual "Mental health concerns us all and homes are where we spend a majority of our time. To me, it makes sense that the type and quality of housing we live in contributes to our overall mental health and well-being. Healthy housing is housing that is safe, affordable, and accessible. The government should plan for housing that meets the needs of the community."
Leo Afonsono "The economic cost of mental health problems is vast. Almost one million people die due to suicide every year. My suggestion would be to increase suicide prevention and focus on that."
Martin Da Luz "We should stop discriminating against those who hold different opinions. The ones who suffer the most here are the PCP who can't feel human when some NPP or OAP tells them that they are wrong. It's not just okay to value PCP ideologies--it's normal to and it's encouraged to. You shouldn't feel ashamed when you like somebody and they get cancelled due to 'discriminating' or having an opinion that they shouldn't work. This is a nation where free speech thrives! You all want to take that away and THAT causes mental health issues! We should be able to express ourselves without fear of being cancelled. 'Slurs'? If you are so worried about them, reclaim them and don't pretend to be offended when we express ourselves."
Raquel Nobriga "The benefits of green space in communities are well documented in Vitosium. Green space refers to both maintained and unmaintained environmental areas such as nature reserves, wilderness environments and urban parks. Those who have regular access to and engagement with green space report reduced levels of stress, depression, and anxiety, and improved concentration and cognitive functioning."
Vincent Gatostico "We should promote mental health across the lifespan in homes, schools, and workplaces. Too often, people don't speak due to a stigma. Letting the citizens know that your mental health is important too and that it is normal to feel a certain way is the best way we can help."
Face To Face //CLIMATE CHANGE// |
Kerry Managual Leo Afonsono Vincent Gatostico |
Vitosium's transition to a green economy depends on pipe lines. At a time when Entrofeira and Ventden face uncertain energy supply. Which one of you is best to lead on these complex issues? | Kerry Managual "We need to venture away from greenhouse gases and more towards sustainable energy. Pipelines are more damaging to the world. That will be my focus."
Leo Afonsono "The economy should come before the environment. That is why we need the pipelines. It may cost money to build them but it's an investment. We will see a strong return. My knowledge on this is why I'm the best for this issue."
Raquel Nobriga "Economy vs the environment should not have been an issue but the actions of our ancestors led it to be. I know that we need to find a good balance. We need to thrive but also take care of the world we live in. I will make it my mission to find that balance."
Chelsea Espindola Martin Da Luz Vincent Gatostico |
How can we achieve progress in climate change when so many don't believe it exists? | Chelsea Espindola "We need to continue to raise awareness. Climate change is real and no amount of lizard people conspiracies can turn you away from the real truth."
Martin Da Luz "My father is an environmentalist, believe it or not. While my party will disagree, it isn't bad to look after the environment as long as we, the people, come first. Gatostico's main focus was the environment while I want us, the real ones that matter in this world, to thrive."
Vincent Gatostico "Regardless of what others think, climate change is important and we need to press forward. The notion that something doesn't exist because we can't see it is a flawed one. So, if we focus more on making the non-believers see our perspective versus actually doing change, we are doing damage to the environment." |
