Rayburn is a city in the Vitosian province of Kingsland.
Rayburn is a regional centre of healthcare and education, being home to the University of Eastern Kingsland, Torresino College, and three major hospitals: Carvalho-Lopez Hospital, Soaralobo Hospital and South Rayburn Hospital. The city hosts a number of musical and artistic exhibits and festivals, which contribute to its tourism industry, but its economic activity is centered on education, medical research, and hospitality, being the founding city of three different Vitosian hotel chains, Magalares, Rhoames and Rosacourt.
History
In 1667, Johannes Joãozinho de Vaal was one of the first explorers to discover the land that would later be known as Mudrouca, one of the few countries King Alexander of Vitaso would later conquer. He selected the site as the future capital of Mudrouca and named it Rayburn, going with wordplay from "sunray burn", following the unusually hot weather at the time in the area.
