Albert Sugiyama IV (28 June 1963) is a Lucian officer who served in Task Force 131 and later in the Special Operations and Airbourne Force.

Albert is the 2nd son of Conlin John Sugiyama, a veteran of the War of Lorican Aggression. Albert, along with his 2 brothers served in the Lucis Army during the Post-War of Lorican Aggression Crisis, where they were assigned under Task Force 131. Here, Albert demonstrated his expertise in engineering. As a result, he also led the engineering force of TF131. Albert is also known for his chivalrous personality, something which his two brothers didn't possess. His chivalrous personality would not go unnoticed, as one of TF 131's snipers, Lili Edelfelt found his personality pleasing. As a result, Albert and Lili pursued a relationship. They had 4 children, 2 of which were born prior to their marriage in 1987. Although TF 131 and the SOAF had already been disbanded, Albert still serves as an instructor for basic operations and tea making at Thors Branch Campus.

Albert is the father of Reiko Sugiyama and Tatsumi Sugiyama, both of which are members of Task Force 141, TF 131's modern counterpart.
