The Battle of the Paungwei Pocket (21 December 1944 - 15 January 1945) was the final battle that took place during the Liberation of Bethausia. After the disasterous Battle of Labu, the Quenminese and Archadian forces were forced to retreat to the Quenminese lands, leaving the desperate Ramuncian forces still trapped in Southern Bethausia. General Cristian Alexandrescu was left with 2 choices, surrender or break-out. Not wanting to be captured, Alexandrescu ordered a break-out in an attempt to escape to Quenmin. However, on New Year's Day, Erebonian, Rubrumian, and Vionnan forces were able to cut-off the only escape route, which is through the town of Paungwei.

Tired, exhausted, and coupled with food shortages, Alexandrescu surrendered on the 15th of January along with the rest of the Ramuncian forces. After the battle, Alexandrescu and his staff were allowed to be flown back to their homeland after Ramuncia signed a separate armistice on the 21st of January.
