Thomas Abe Gaviria (born March 7th, 1940) is a Zamastanian politician and former-Senator who is the son of former-President of Zamastan Marvin Gaviria. Gaviria served as the Senator for Zian province's 3rd district from 1970 until 2018, making him one of the longest-serving senators in the country's history. Thomas' son, Jay Gaviria, is also a prominent lawmaker in Congressional Hall.
Born to Marvin and Padma Gaviria, Thomas grew up largely in the Zian Presidential Mansion in Tofino for his father's lengthy 26-year presidency before attending the University of Tofino from 1967 to 1970, when he was elected the youngest-ever senator for the province of Zian. Thomas was present during his father's assassination, when a famous photograph was taken of Thomas holding Marvin's body. In 1976, the Conservative Captialist Party named Thomas the head of the political party, a title which he held until 2014.
