After a gap year abroad in Ukraine, Nymon attended the University of Ciloven, graduating in 1998 with a degree in Public Administration, and later got a masters in the same field at University of North Conelibek.

After getting her masters, ran for Mayor of Ciloven as the Socialist Party candiate, winning a surprise victory over incumbent Liberal Democratic mayor Paul Ilghe and becoming the city's youngest mayor at 27. She would be easily re-electeed in 2006, defeating CNy candidate Maatin Fjedal.

In 2010 Nymon annouced her intention to run in the 2010 parliamentary election in the district of Ciloven Center for the Socialists. Despite her party losing seats to Tomas Serdoa and CNy, she won the seat back for the Socialists from incumbent Feliks Carest. She would be re-elected in 2014, 2017, and 2021.
