Revision as of 19:40, 16 June 2020

A pretender is claimant to a monarchy that has been abolished or is currently occupied by another individual. A pretender may assert his or her own claim on their own behalf or a claim that is advanced by a group on the pretender's behalf. Entries to the list are limited to claims made on a person's behalf, regardless of whether that individual has actively asserted his or her claim, so long as that person has a legitimate link to the line of succession.

Vardana

Vardana was in a personal union with Lihnidos from 1694 until 1830. The union dissolved during Lihnidosi-Vardanan War, and resulted in the breakup of the Kingdom of Vardana into a number of minor states, many of which continued to claim the mantle of the Vardanan throne, and in some instances the Lihnidosi throne. The Hazarasidp dynasty, ruling as monarchs of Bayazet following the dissolution, became the preeminent realm of former Vardana and succeeded in uniting most all of what has historically been known as Greater Vardana, with exception of Perateia. The modern Hazarasp period of Vardana came to an end in 1924 at the onset of the Vardanan revolution.
