- 1 January 1948 – The Treaty of Kesselbourg and the Euclean Charter are signed and ratified by the leaders of Azmara, Borland, Estmere, Gaullica, Kesselbourg and Hennehouwe, officially founding the Euclean Community.
- 1 January 1993 – The Unified Republic of Vinalia is established after the Second Republic of Vinalia, and the People's Republic of Vinalia cease to exist and become constituent states of the new republic, ending 63 years of separation.
- January 2, 1983 – Simeon Kovachev dies at age 81 after controlling the office of President of Tengaria for over 24 years, with the leadership of the Patriotic Union and effective control of the government passing to his son Dimitri Kovachev.
