Education in Kursibar is free and mandatory from ages six to sixteen, and consists of three stages: Heia (equivalent to primary school in other countries), Ua-Heia (similar to secondary school in other countries), and Employment School (similar to a two-year university). Additional education is available in a variety of sponsored schools and universities. Heia lasts eight years. Students are given a basic education in Quoman dialects, mathematics, natural sciences, history, geography, engineering, physical education and visual and musical arts. Ua-Heia lasts for three years and includes three traditional types of schools focused on different subjects: the Quallan prepares students for university studies with a classical or scientific curriculum, while the Qua-Ste'a and the Qua-So'an prepare pupils for vocational education. The Employment School is solely focused on forming apprenticeships and finding students careers.

Ostrov has a single, comprehensive schooling system. Many towns will have their own schools, both at primary and secondary level, where town-dwellers attend; they follow a loose curriculum centred around core subjects such as Common, Lurynian, mathematics, the sciences, history and geography, although many schools choose to deliver arts and physical education as well. Homeschooling is legal under the common law and practiced by many farming families. While most Ostrovians will leave school aged eighteen, the more intelligent town-dwellers will attend the Polytechnic of Ostrov, a Southport-based university which specialises in science, medicine, engineering, mathematics and economics.
