The Solaris War is an ongoing escalation of the longstanding border dispute between Aeyariss and Brigantia over the Solaris Isles. On 3 March 2024, Aeyariss invaded the portion of the Solaris Isles held by Brigantia, following the parliament's announcement of a renewal of "special military operations" against Brigantia.[2]

Background

TBD

International reactions

  •  Carloso – Initially, President Cárlos Tobón expressed support for the Aeyarissian military operation and the defence of the country's 'territorial integrity', noting the historic commonalities of both countries as members of SACTO. He also offered Carlosian assistance to Aeyariss if it was required, directing the Department of Defence to liaise with the War Ministry. The aircraft carrier CN Mercurea and its battlegroup were given the order to deploy west of Port Asada as a show of support for Aeyariss and as a show of force against countries contemplating intervening in the conflict. By July however, amidst the deteriorating situation in Musgorocia over the Thouthen crisis, Tobón walked back his support for Aeyariss due to his decision to pursue détente with the Eulabian Commonwealth.
  •  Eulabia – The Foreign Office issued a statement that reads: "Despite Brigantia's membership in the ETO, we view the Solaris Isles territory as disputed. Therefore, as long as the conflict is held within the disputed territory and its adjacent territorial waters, Eulabia will maintain neutrality regarding this issue. We believe the conflict could be resolved through other means, yet both involved parties have opted for military confrontation. We urge involved parties to avoid further escalation."
