The Khost Pocket or Battle of the Khost Pocket (23 November - 24 December 1942) was a decisive engagement during the last stages of the Middle East Campaign of the Second Europan War. A pocket was formed around Khost, which trapped almost 75% of the Imperials forces in an encirclement by the Allies. The battle is also referred to as the Battle of the Khost Gap (after the corridor which the Imperials sought to maintain to allow their escape). The battle resulted in the destruction of nearly 3/5ths of the Imperial forces, which opened the way to Indiae and South Asianna for the Allied armies.
