Summary
Opening rounds
The season began at the Aswickan Grand Prix. Conway Prescott, who took pole position, led from the start for the first few laps before getting passed by his teammate Steven Grey in the 1st quarter. But Prescott soon retook the lead and won the race for MacGregor, finishing with a dominant 30-second lead over Merlin's Gianpiero Santoro. On the other hand, Grey was just over 2 seconds behind Santoro and finished 3rd. MacGregor built up an early lead, garnering a total of 44 points.
The Mizia Grand Prix was marked with moderate to heavy rain, which proved challenging for the drivers. Despite this, Valkean drivers Simo Rassinen, driving for Sidus, and Pekka Koivu, driving for Phaeton, were able to navigate the circuit well. Rassinen crossed the line in 1st place followed by Koivu and Prescott.
The Azmir Grand Prix began with Prescott leading most of the race until he spun his car and crashed on Lap 66. Phaeton driver Tertius DiParadisa, who had been attempting to overtake Prescott for several laps, subsequently took the victory. His teammate, Koivu, had suffered a slow pit stop on Lap 12 and a spin on Lap 34. LZS driver Stefan Lakowski came 2nd while Santoro followed in 3rd.
The Astyrian Grand Prix saw F1 return to Aswick, this time at the Norris Memorial Circuit. Guy Bassett and DiParadisa fought hard for 2nd behind Prescott, but Bassett prevailed in the end. He would go on to pass Prescott to take the win. Another fight brewed between Steven Grey and Dominic Hudnall for 5th position, which ended with Grey splitting the Merlin drivers.
The Noordenstaat Grand Prix started off poorly for Pekka Koivu, who was forced to pit in the 14th lap due to faster tire wear than usual. Dropping from pole position to 8th place, he fought long and hard to move up the leaderboard, eventually finishing the race in 2nd. Bassett's performance was also hampered due to a hastily-made two-stop strategy. Robert van Grol rose from 16th at the start of the race to the front of the grid upon the halfway point, but dropped places due to a tire change on the 44th lap. On Lap 38, Ivan Jovanović spun out as his engine cut out at Turn 13. This retired him from the race early. Grey passed Van Grol as he was pitting, which gave the Aswickan driver his first win of the season.
The Nikolian Grand Prix saw Devin Acker's car lost grip and went off the track, crashing into the tire barrier. This brought out the safety flag on Lap 10. Bassett and Jovanović constantly traded places throughout the race. Merlin's Gianpiero Santoro would sometimes join in and turn the fight into a three-way duel. However, Stefan Lakowski would eventually barge his way into the podium, finishing 2nd just behind Jovanović and relegating Bassett to 3rd. Santoro on the other hand choked and fell to 7th. His teammate, Hudnall, was able to fend off Frentzen and Koivu for 4th place. LZS finished the race with a 1-2 victory. Due to his 5th place finish, DiParadisa overtook Prescott in the Drivers' Standings.
The Khyragusian began with Matthew Martins overtaking Prescott in the 1st lap. Martins maintained his lead until Lap 26, when a pit stop allowed for Prescott to retake the lead. From there Martins had to fend off the Sidus drivers throughout the rest of the race. Nick Hardy was taken out of the race due to an engine problem on Lap 72. Prescott held a massive lead over the competition, ending the race a full lap ahead of Rassinen. this win meant Prescott retook the lead from DiParadisa in the Drivers' Championship.
