Louis Harolt de Mapleville III (Lux 19, 1462 - Primo 25, 1535) was a Prestorean business magnate, Honorary Governor of the Imperial Commission of Mapleville, and philanthropist. He had been considered the wealthiest man of his time by the time of his death, where his net worth totaled to ₭72 billion kepples (in 1612 inflation value). Mapleville was born into a large family and estate, who were established in merchanting and whale oil, and moved several times in boarding schools before settling in Westchester Boy's School in Cambrigh in his early teens, where he stayed until he joined the Prestore Royal Naval Forces Northern Command of the Prestorean Royal Navy in 1479 at the age of 17. He served in the Navy with excellent history and quickly rose in the ranks until he was Senior Petty Officer in his fifth year of service. During this time, he was taking Navy-sponsored higher education where he studied engineering, radio technology, and bookkeeping. Mapleville was honorably discharged in 1485 after 10 tours across the Wintry Ocean. He returned to his family estate and worked under his father in senior positions at the Brothwright-Mapleville Merchants Guild, where he learned to manage his family business.

In 1491, Mapleville's father passed away and left senior executive management in partnership with Gobalt Brothwright to him. Two years later, in 1493, he gained audience with King Richard IV to advance the Merchants Guild's operations in the Magna, paving the way for the eventual foundation of the Imperial Commission of Mapleville in Neverrealm and Ruadh Floe. He was awarded the honorary title of Honorary Governor by the King in 1495 after substantial returns in Prestorean trade in the Magna. In 1498, he was approached by mining magnate Sebástian Clifford for the exploitation of mage oil, which led to them founding the Corporation of Merchants of Cambrigh trading into the Magna on Commission with Governor Louis de Mapleville in 1499.
