The Ministry of Magic (MdlM) is a government ministry of Cavala headed by the Secretary of Cavalan Mutamniers and Minister of Magic (a combined position). Its stated priorities are to take care of Mutamni affairs, to oversee magical transportation, to provide care for magical patients, to enforce law on Mutamni criminals, to increase understanding on the topic of magic, and uphold people's civil liberties. The Ministry of Magic may also oversee administration in Cavalan Iolana, X, and other Cavalan overseas territories.
The ministry was formed in Okjatab 1816 when some functions of the Department of Magical Anomalies were combined with the Council of Mutamni Affairs. The expenditure, administration and policy of the Ministry of Magic are scrutinised by the Magic Select Committee.
