Operation Jupiter (9 July - 22 August 1940) was the final attack conducted by Zanarkian, New Akibander, and Lucian troops, supported by Joyonghean forces during Operation Bugger during the Third Joyonghean-Quenminese War. The operation was to capture the strategically important town of Haeneung, and then the smaller town of Chechon. This operation was undertaken by the Fifth Zanarkian Imperial Force, with the Lucis 11th Army and the 1st Conglomerate against the Quenminese 16th Army and the Sudong Regional Army in what became the lagest encirclement on the Joyonghean theater during the Second Europan War. Despite a slow start and limited gains, novel tactics by the 1st Conglomerate during the drive for Chechon enabled the Chechon Gap to be partially closed by 19 August 1940, trapping about 175,000 Imperial troops in the Chechon Pocket.
