Samcheok Beach (13 June 1940) was the location in which Lucis Commonwealth forces first landed on Joyonghea. The beach spanned more than 5kms of sand. There were three sectors. Oboe Sector was the responsibility of the Lucian forces, Nancy Sector was the responsibility of the Zanarkian forces, and Love Sector was the responsibility of New Akibander forces. The Quenminese forces on Samcheok were unprepared for the invasion despite the Battle of the Joyonghean Strait, which prevented the Imperial Quenminese Navy from interfering with the landing operations just 3 days prior. Supported by elements of the 9th Royal Fleet of the Royal Navy and the Zanarkian 5th Fleet, Samcheok Beach was easily taken before nightfall, with the New Akibander forces at Love Sector advancing the furthest from the intended 3km beachhead. The New Akibander advance would eventually link up with the local Joyonghean Army resistance just 2 kms outside of Samcheok later that night.
