Operation Bugger or known as The Zanarkian Landings at Joyonghea (13 June 1940 - 22 August 1940) was the first operation carried out by Lucis Commonwealth forces in Joyonghea. It marked the turning point of the Third Joyonghean-Quenminese War with more than 25kms of beachhead established. The operation is commonly called as the Zanarkian Landings due to the fact that nearly 2/3rds of the troops who landed at Samcheok Beach were Zanarkians.
With the preservation of Joyonghea being the objective, Prime Minister Randolph W. S. Churchill requested that the presence of Joyonghea in East Asianna was a vital cause. Immediately, he ordered a pull-out of Allied forces from East Africanna who had recently won the campaign there. These units were to be the first Commonwealth forces to land on Joyonghea with the intent of rescuing and relieving the remaining Joyonghean pockets of resistance following the Fall of Yeolcheon.
