Princess Silvia of Ravenna (Silvia Gentilia Ravenna Maria Constantia Victoria; b. 29 June 1994) is a Latin imperial, and the only daughter of Prince Michael, Duke of Ravenna and Princess Joanna of Latium.

Early life and education

Silvia was born on 29 June 1994 at University Hospital, in Mediolanum, Latium, to parents Prince Michael of Ravenna and Princess Joanna of Latium. Her father was not present at the birth because he was in Sydalon and Silvia's birth was 3 weeks early. At the time of her birth, her paternal grandfather Prince Victor, Duke of Ravenna was a Senator and a Vice Praetor for Foreign Affairs. Her name was announced a week later, named Silvia after her great-great-great grandmother Princess Silvia of Latium. She was baptized into the Fabrian Catholic Church on 5 September 1994, in the private chapel of Palatium Supranio. Her godparents are then Jason, Prince of Youth (her mother's brother); Zoe Verrucosa (Jason's wife); Frederick of Rahdenburg (family friend); and Andara Dain (Frederick's wife).

She was raised primarily in Ravenna, but regularly spent time in Castellum and Adrianople. Silvia received her primary education from a series of private tutors and instructors. It wasn’t until she was fifteen that she first attended formal schooling when she attended St Maria's School for Ladies, in Castellum.

Silvia took a gap year before university, where she traveled to Garima, Belfras and Mocapaha. In 2012, she enrolled at Galata College, Haenna, where she studied music and policy. While at Galata College, she took part in a foreign study program at the University of Ghish between her first and second year studies.

While at Galata College, Silvia was a member of the University Philharmonic Orchestra, playing the flute.

Marriage

As the granddaughter of Latin Empress Diana Augusta, Silvia was highly sought after in courtship among Latin nobility and foreign nobility or royalty. Despite this, Silvia had no known courtships before she began to court her eventual husband Merrick of Dakmoor.

Silvia and Merrick first began courting in 2015, and announced their engagement by March 2016. Silvia continued to reside in Latium leading up to the wedding, but finally relocated to Langael by late September 2016. The two were previously linked together, with reports that they were in a relationship while Silvia was a visiting student at the University of Ghish, in 2013.

On 22 October 2016, Silvia married Ghantish nobleman Merrick of Dakmoor, at Galan Cathedral in Langael. Since their marriage, they have primarily resided in Langael. In 2018, Silvia and Merrick moved to Ghish after Merrick was appointed to a deputy role within the Imperial Justiciary by Imperial Justiciar Prince Leo of Ghant.
