The Sletharine Imperial Time (Sletharine: Σλεθαρη Ρεξιονη Ͱρονιον; romanized: Sletharė Rexionė Hronion) is the time zone used in the Empire of Slethar. It is the only remaining time zone whose offset is not a multiple of quarter-hours away from the mean time zone. Often laballed as "Hermits' time", it is often considered as the most obscure time zone in the world.

History

Originally standardized in the wake of World War I to stabilize and organize military production, it has been abandoned following the Grey Turmoil, shifting to a time standard of UTC-3:00 with daylight saving time set at UTC-2:00, aligning it with the neighboring countries such as Uldhark in the process.

The original time zone was reestablished following the Gold Turmoil. The time zone was restored officially "because it promoted traditional values Slethar stands for and is a historical right which has been unjustly stripped from the loyal Emperor's subjects by the unjust Grey period."

Discourse

Officials and politologists, as well as other experts and dissidents from Slethar, have outlined a possible other justification, as it may be one of the ways of population control, limiting the inflow of information from across the border. In effect, it is claimed that the basic idea is, that any communication becomes a bit harder if the time offset is notable and not easily convertable, as well as the fact, that this offset changes due to an orthodox shift of the daylight saving time of just 30 minutes instead of the whole hour.
