The Battle of Chechon (21 August - 22 August 1940) was a battle that took place near the town of Chechon, just 12kms from Hill 252. The battle took place parallel to the events taking place on Hill 252. By 21 August, the Quenminese forces launched their biggest attack on Joyonghean positions on the hill. As this was taking place, Lucis Commonwealth forces attempted to seal the pocket through a narrow corridor which had been subjected by intense shelling by allied forces through radio transmissions by Joyongheans on Hill 252. This was to be known as the Corridor of Death due to the numerous amounts of destroyed Quenminese tanks, equipment, and troops killed on the corridor.
