Mişeyáke (abbreviated MŞ) is a region of Gylias. Located in the north, it borders Gacar and Gerşyr to the north, Arxaþ to the east, Envadra and Arsad to the south, and Kausania to the west.
It is home to Mişeyáke, the capital of Gylias, which is reflected in its flag.
Geography
Most of the region's territory is flat and dominated by the Laişyn plain, while the eastern end contains part of the Kackar mountains.
The Velys river and Elşeti river are the most important, with their drainage basin covering most of the region. Mişeyáke is located at the confluence of the two. The Ţikona river determines its boundary with Kausania.
Demographics
The 2020 census recorded a population of 2.653.739, making it Gylias' second most populated region. The largest city is Mişeyáke, which is also the second largest city in Gylias. Zaul is the regional capital.
Mişeyáke has seen the strongest population growth of Gylias' regions since the Liberation War, largely due to the establishment of Mişeyáke as a capital.
The main Gylic peoples in the area are Aréş, with a Zineran minority in the east.
Economy
The region's economy is mainly based on the service sector and industry, with agriculture being the main activity outside of the urban areas.
The region is notable for its strong creative industries, media presence, and research and development — all largely owed to Mişeyáke's status as Gylias' capital and a significant media market.
Politics
The region's regional council is named the Mişeyáke Regional Council, and its regional party is named the Mişeyáke Alliance (French: Alliance Mişeyáke).
Mişeyáke is a staunchly left-wing region, with the main competition at the regional level being between the Progressive Alliance and non-inscrit left. The region's status as a left-wing stronghold has made the success of Lisa d'Arville, the progressive conservative mayor of Mişeyáke from 2000 to 2020, more remarkable.
