Violant Claudia de Aultavilla, DAA EOV DSL (born 18 August 1993) is the daughter of of Jacobus VI Claudius and Sibylla of Sydalon.

She is the eldest of her father's illegitimate children. Due to her illegitimacy, Violant is excluded from both Latin and Sydalene thrones.

Early life and education

Maria-Violant Olympe Sibylla de Aultavilla de Toron was born at Castella Anvarza, in Kalkara, Toron, on 18 August 1993 to unwed mother Princess Sibylla of Sydalon. Her mother's pregnancy was kept secret as her parents were not married, with her birth was eventually made public on 23 November 1993, where it was also revealed that Violant's father was then Jacobus, Prince of Youth. Sibylla and Jacobus first met in November 1992 at christening of their mutual nephew Prince Sebastian of Sydalon.

Her father acknowledged his paternity of Violant in immediately following her birth announcement, as private discussions with King Jordan IX and a rumored paternity test took place between Violant's birth and November 1993. Violant visited Latium for the first time in January 1994, and given the rank of "Lady" and began using the surname "Claudia." Since January 1994, she has utilized Claudia de Aultavilla for her surname. She was made a Princess of Dakmoor by courtesy of her step-father's brother, in 1998.

Violant was baptized into the Fabrian Catholic Church at Sancta Sapientia, in Castellum. Her godparents are King Jordan IX (her maternal grandfather), and Empress Diana I Anicia (her paternal grandmother). She was reportedly cherished by her maternal grandfather according to courtiers, and who took care of all of Violant's needs. In January 1994, Violant and her mother relocated to the chief royal residence, Palis de Aultavilla, in Ostracine. Violant spent much of her childhood between Dakmoor, Latium, and Sydalon.

Education and military service

As a child, Violant was educated by private tutors hired who often traveled with her between various homes. It has been reported and widely noted that she would spend up to half the year in Dakmoor, half the year in Latium, and visited Sydalon often. In 2007, she attended Lyceu ta'Aradia for prep school, where her tuition was paid by her father. After completing prep school in 2011, Violant was briefly a reserve member of the Royal Army, in which she was a nurse.

In fall 2012, Violant enrolled at Alba College, University of Castellum Iohannes XIII, after taking a gap year where she visited the city of Hauteville in Lyncanestria. She also visited Belfras, Enyama, and Gran Aligonia. She graduated in spring 2015 with a focus in psychology.

Personal life

Violant is noted for being fiercely private about her personal affairs, often refusing to take part in interviews. Violant has attended Ludi Circenses annually since 2000, and is known to frequent fashion shows, football and ice hockey matches. She is also a frequent traveler, having visited over 14 separate nations, and five different continents. She is said to be extremely close with her half-siblings, and a very close friend with her paternal half-sister, Princess Maria of Latium.

Violant's father once spoke of her during a 2015 interview with RAL, where he described their relationship as a "excellent" and they are especially close. Jason also described Violant as a "sweet and intelligent girl" that he was proud to call his daughter.

Violant is multi-lingual, holding fluency in Latin and Sydalene. She is conversant in Ghantish and Ottonian. She holds citizenship in Ghant, Latium and Sydalon.

Marriage

On 24 May 2016, Violant married Steffon Galan, at Sancta Sapientia, Castellum ab Alba. The pair first began courting in 2015 after being introduced years prior.

Styles, honors, and arms

As the illegitimate child of a Latin sovereign, Violant did not receive any titles or honorifics upon her birth. In April 1994, she was granted the courtesy rank of Lady by her grandmother, which she continues to hold today. Violant was made an honorary Princess of Dakmoor by her step-uncle, King Malibar I of Dakmoor.
