Adventurer High School (more commonly known as Adventurer High) is an animated Malgravean comedy show that takes place inside a fictional school known simply as Adventurer High. It originally focused on a group of famous adventurers known as the Heralds of History but the show has branched out and includes many parodic takes on current and historical figures from multiple nations and organisations.

Originally broadcast in 2014 Adventurer High has cycled through several characters to remain relevant to modern society, although, the central characters of the Heralds of History have remained intact.

Characters

Phase One (2014-2018)

Character Description
Amelia Lowwe Amelia Lowwe is student from Malgrave that is heavily involved in the school's science clubs, she constantly wears a lab coat on top of her usual school uniform. In several episodes she is seen pestering other characters for food because she spends most of her money on experiments inside the school. She is close to Sun Down and Saeheli and has a friendly rivalry with Alasse and Fenya.
Claudia Donovan A student from Malgrave that is in charge of several of the school's science clubs, like Amelia she is typically seen wearing a lab coat on top of her school uniform. In addition to her club duties, she is also in charge of the local Ancestral Study Group and can be seen promoting the group with her friends Rachel and Quinn.
Rachel Berry A student from Malgrave and President of the Student Council, she typically wears massive knitted jumpers on top of her school uniform and is seen to get cold when not wearing them. As President of the Student Council she leads school assemblies and often gives out challenges to the main protagonists, she is always seen alongside Quinn and seems to enjoy dragging her around the school.
Quinn Fabray A student from Malgrave, a member of the Student Council and leader of the local Anti-Sex League. Quinn is one of the few major Malgravean characters that wears an unmodified version of the school uniform. Despite being part of a socially conservative club she is attracted to the Student President and is easily dragged around to perform various embarrassing performances around the school.
Emily Lowwe Emily Lowwe is a student from Malgrave that first appears on the show around Season Two, although it is explained that she missed all of Season One due to complications from MIDD. Emily is obsessed with Ellie Cambuel and purposely joined the school photography club so she could take pictures of Ellie around the school, because of this she constantly gets nosebleeds and even faints on several occasions. Emily Lowwe is also close to her older sister and tries to help Amelia and her friends as much as possible.
Sun Down A student from the Greater Pony Herd that is obsessed with swords and adventuring.
Gracie Kurimitsu A student from the Colonial Republic of Earth (aka Dornieland), particularly from Southern California--by her own admission, from “around South Bay and Van Nuys especially.” Gracie is an android/AI student with a keen head for figures. She also is someone who is overly laid back and is known as a scrounger, in much the same vein as say, “The King” from James Clavell’s King Rat. Hustles the chess club and is known for being actually good at it. Seems obsessed with automobiles no student can really afford, claims her dad “owns a dealership and can totally set any of y’all up.” Also tends to insert random Yiddishisms into her speech (e.g. “How’s the mishpoche?” when “How’s your family?” will do.)
Shannah Tabassum Karimi A student from the Al’ Meriatt region of Rohane Alista, her personality has been varyingly described as stern, strict, unyeilding, manipulative, relentless, and unifying, sometimes by the same people. When she first arrived at AHS she considered joining chess club or the student council, but considered both to be too boring for her. Instead she started a War Games and Nation Building club, essentially a club devoted to students leading “nations” made up of other students through war, diplomacy, and administrative skill. She’s butted heads with the student council more than once, and there are rumors she’s looking to cut into their power over her club. She’s managed, after a struggle with the student council and the Anti-Sex League, to gain dispensation to wear traditional Al’ Meriatt clothing, meaning the few times when her heavy cloak and hood come off she’s left in a short skirt, tall leather riding boots, and a loose flowing shirt that leaves her stomach uncovered. She doesn’t hesitate to use these things to her advantage when needed.
Arnold Estelman In real life heir to a small corporation which he turned into a multi-billions conglomerate, and current Minister of Trade for Rohane Alista, his repersentation in the show makes no attempt to hide his economic cunning. He runs an underground “black market” selling almost anything- including rare scientific supplies, information, and out of production snacks. He might be in a relationship with Anita, his assistant, or they may just make out where only Quinn can see them just to aggravate her. No one else has ever seen it though, so the rumor is it doesn’t actually happen. Because of this, he has a tense relationship with the ASL, but has so far shut down Quinn using his connections and information.
Anita Persky Based on the real life Anita Persky (who is a prominent member of Rohane Alista Industries Dornalia and its de facto spokesperson in Dornieland), the show's version of Anita is a loyal assistant to Arnold Estelman who is virtually inseparable from him and aids Arnold with his "black marketeering". Anita is a smiling, friendly, albeit somewhat enigmatic and charismatic individual who also happens to be a "rules lawyer" who is good at things involving regulations and by-laws, and does work for the Student Council. Distrusts the ASL, especially due to Quinn's activities. Also possesses the ears and tail of a husky, even with a normal human appearance otherwise, and has a thing for hamburgers. May possibly be in a relationship with Arnold, although the truth is unclear. They are, again, inseparable though.
Ellie Cambuel Based on the Kouralian princess Elena Campbell, Ellie is a colourful and outgoing Kouralian student and captain of the school's 1st XV rugby team. Her character plays a lot on the real princess' love of music, an active life-style and her military service. This manifests itself through her prominent character role as the 'sporty' member of the group, instigating musical numbers that are usually acknowledged by other characters as out of the ordinary, and through treating almost any challenge or plan as a battlefield struggle or carefully planned military operation. Simultaneously she hits a number of Kouralian stereotypes ranging from love of dried and cured meat, brightly coloured clothes and hair, and a sense of honour which usually manifests in being either the mediator of a conflict or the instigator of a karmic punishment for any deceiver. She also openly flaunts her rejection of the anti-sex league and their uniform rules, wearing her rugby kit or other flattering gymwear at all times.
Atoti auf Bergholm Based upon a rather minor figure of the Imeiran government, he served as a page at the same time as the high king and is a very close friend. However despite his rather low social status and his lack of official titles (his highest rank being adjutant in the first army) so does he have the ear of the king and that counts rather heavily in a government that takes meritocracy as something that should be kept at arms length at the best of time. He is generally portrayed as a snob, bully, lady’s man, and jock but with absurdly much luck. He has a weird tendency to show up and hit on the ladies of the show. However despite his rather slight than stellar personality so does he have a rather shocking ability to get away with most things and people tend to misinterpret his actions as good hearted and kind due to his luck.
Runa auf Stjärnkhrone The younger cousin of the current high king and a friend of Atoti, surprisingly liberal for a Scanderan as is her real life counterpart. While she is not the most sporting person so is she known to try every sport she can and failing miserably and tends to be in a new club every time she appears. She is however somewhat spoiled and tends to order people around and issue an order followed by a clap of her hands when she wants someone to do something. Very terrible at keeping secrets, if someone tells her something it is certain that everyone will know about it an hour later. She tends to mention a lot of noodle incidents and then not following up on them, often involving social inferiors being forced to do something. She is also a very big fan of jousting and seems to have an encyclopedic knowledge of the Imerian jousting league, she also seems to have a crush on everyone involved including the ladies.
Princess Snow The shy and altruistic princess of Silverdale, she serves as the school's nurse who comes to the rescue for the mere call for medical aid! She dwells in the school's ice box at night, uses her ice magic for wacky stunts, and is able to see the most embarrassing visions of the future that involves different character relationships. Snow has to deal with an overbearing soccer mom Aurora, and tries not to be like her but fails.
Tyroth Blackfang Based on the legendary adventurer king of Dyste, the Draconid is portrayed as a student of Dyste known for his booming voice and laugh. In spite of being a bit egotistical and prideful, he is a charming, talented student with a wide array of skills and interests. He is also an oddball at times, with a tendency to misunderstand slang terms and laughing at his own jokes. He hangs around with his personal group of friends, the Black Fangs, who he feels more at ease around and shows his more sensitive and dorky side to. Which members of the Black Fangs appear in any given episode varies, though the most common three are Jarlsberg Thaumsmith, Mishera Val'Shorath and Lissah Bonecrusher.
Jarlsberg Thaumsmith Based on the famous Dystan Sage, Jarlsberg, or 'Jarl', is Tyroth's best friend. A nerdy elf who lacks in physical talent, Jarl performs poorly at sports but aces academic challenges. He has a fondness for building robots, or 'golems' as he insists they are called. Is oblivious to romantic affections.
Mishera Val'Shorath Based on the head Druid of Dyste, Mishera, a member of the Black Fangs, is a tree-hugging drow who loves nature and the outdoors, taking care of a wolf pup named Nailah she found injured one day. She is dating another member of Tyroth's group, a dwarf named Javia.
Lissah Bonecrusher Based on the head of the Drakonfethos in Dyste, Lissah, a member of the Black Fangs, is an orc and the muscle of the group, excelling in sports where force and tenacity is needed. While she generally defers to Tyroth in matters, she is passionate about protecting her friends and will not stand for anybody bullying them.
Rylux Crescent A student of Dyste based on the the Sage of Expeditions, Rylux the Draconid is a new friend of Amelia's who is an academic and rather cautious and soft-spoken. However, he is no pushover and will stand up to any injustice he finds. While not a member of the Black Fangs, he highly admires Tyroth. He is never seen without his best friend, Zahhak, and frequently has to translate for the kobold student and tell people what he is trying to say; his catchphrase is "No, Zahhak..."
Zahhak Ashtail A student of Dyste based on the kobold friend and companion of Rylux. Zahhak the kobold is an entirely comedic character who almost entirely speaks in Kobosh, with utterances of '-bold' tacked onto his sentences. He loves sandwiches and is frequently seen making them for himself or others. He is never seen without Rylux.

Phase Two (2018 - Present)

Character Description
Amelia Lowwe Amelia Lowwe is student from Malgrave that as of season five remains heavily involved in the school's science clubs, she constantly wears a lab coat on top of her usual school uniform. Amelia is close to her fellow Heralds, however, she also hangs out with other students and her scientific exploits sometimes cause trouble for everyone.
Claudia Donovan Claudia Donovan is another returning character from earlier seasons. Like Amelia she is typically seen wearing a lab coat on top of her school uniform. Claudia remains in charge of the local Ancestral Study Group, a few episodes revolve around her trying to promote the work of the group across the school.
Nadzieja Brzezicki Introduced at the start of season five, Nadzieja Brzezicki is shown to have been in the background of various scenes in the past working to ensure the steady financial operations of the student council. In the opening episode of the new season, Nadzieja is surprisingly elected as the new President of the Student Council, as a major technocrat she is always surrounded by advisors and likes to be seen conducting academic reviews on all aspects of school life.
Eliot Reymont Eliot Reymont shown to be a close friend and advisor of Nadzieja Brzezicki, and often represents the Student Council when it has to deal with teachers or other schools. In later episodes it is shown that Eliot is somewhat fascinated in the C'tan, and she constantly claims to have a girlfriend in another school which is the source of many jokes.
Seo Yi-kyung Seo Yi-kyung is another close friend and advisor of Nadzieja Brzezicki. In her introductory episode she helps settle a crisis developing between Adventurer High and a similar school in Silverdale. Yi-kyung is quite passionate about developing the bonds of friendship in the school, and even has a giant journal dedicated to her thought process which seems to get large every time it appears. In later episodes it is shown that she is in a relationship with Lee Se-jin, a fellow student.
Emily Lowwe Emily Lowwe is a student from Malgrave that first appears on the show around Season Two, although it is explained that she missed all of Season One due to complications from MIDD. Reception

Adventuer High School is one of the most popular animated shows in the country, and has amassed quite a large fanbase since it started broadcasting in 2012. It has generated a large amount of fanart, fanfiction and been the focus of MalCon for several years.

In New Dornalia, meanwhile, the show is broadcast on HTB on Monday nights, where it has attained surprisingly strong ratings to become a "sleeper hit" complete with a loyal cult fanbase and even a panel at the recent New Star City Annual NerdFest. Critics have praised the show as an "unusually quirky, adorable, yet biting satire of politics at large in the galaxy," in the words of Joanne Chen of the Martian Times. Additionally, Gracie Kurimitsu herself is on record as loving her portrayal on the show.

In Rohane Alista, the show is aired on Thursday night's "Cartoon Chaos" on HJS TV. It has had a mixed reception in Rohane, though it has the highest ratings of any program during "Cartoon Chaos". While generally regarded as amusing, critics have panned its portrayal of Shannah Tabbasum Karimi as a power hungry tyrant in some episodes. In addition, it has had some legal troubles, though it won AHS vs Estelman Inc. with the judge saying "Adventure High School is clearly a parody show, with a satirical take on historical figures. No one actually believes Arnold Estelman has ever sold an E-Z-Make Particle Accelerator." Arnold Estelman has been quoted saying "I don't have much time for television, but as long as it's not insulting my family or nation wholesale I don't mind." It has also come in for criticism for suggesting Arnold and his assistant Anita Persky are in a secret relationship.

In the Royal Union of Kouralia the show has been generally well-received, and saw season 1 broadcast by KBC International after the watershed approximately 18 months after it was first broadcast in Malgrave. By the time the second series came round it began being broadcast a month after its domestic release, reflecting the popularity of the series in Kouralia. While not one of the greats of Kouralian television, it has gained a large following because of its quirky style and the generally high quality of the series, and a number of references to it have crept into Kouralian popular culture and other media. The support for it reached a high point in 2016 when the official Synypalæ aþ’Iato social media accounts posted an image of a convention flyer half way through the first day of the annual Great Exhibition of the Popular Works, sparking a four hour hunt for the cosplaying Princess Elena before she was finally found, having been dressed as Ellia Cambuel all day.

The show were however not well received in The absolute royal federation, due to a certain ire against Malgraveans running rampant amongst the people and harsh tariffs and legal penalties against imports conducted by the mercantile policies of the absolute royal federation so did the show only play at very few cinemas and attracted little attention.
