Fortanus (pronounced /fɔərˈtænʊs/) is a colony and province of Amalfi, in the Insulæ Occidentales region. It is the largest island of Amalfi. The province's capital and largest city is Marosium, in the district of the same name.
Fortanus has no official function for local government purposes. It is subdivided into four districts: Ersos, Marosium, Quivos and Siculos. The province contributes 12 senators to the Senate of Amalfi.
