The foreign policy of Vinalia is based on the principles of non-alignment as delineated on the Constitution. By law Vinalia may not enter into foreign alliances, and entry into foreign organizations require a 2/3 majority in both houses of Parliament. By law only 2% at maximum of the national gdp can be spent on the military, requiring major legislative efforts to increase it. Foreign policy is coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, currently led by Victor Kulish.

Community of Nations

Vinalia has been a member of the Community of Nations since its reunification in 1993, with both the Second Republic, and the People's Republic being part of the organization since the 1930's as observers until acceptance in the 1980's. Vinalia has enjoyed throughout its history benefits from the organization, and Vin has spent most of its history involved in some form of Community of Nations peacekeeping mission. Vinalia contributes to the Community of Nations both monetarily and through contributing to peacekeeping efforts in personnel and funding.

Non-alignment

Vinalia's complicated history made it necessary for the country to include strict neutrality and non-alignment clauses. Vinalia at the time of its founding

Diplomatic relations with other nations

Vinalia maintains diplomatic relations with most states across the world; it has diplomatic embassies in over 30 countries, while many countries have embassies or diplomatic missions in Vinalinsk or maintain their embassies in Orlavo, where most embassies were prior to the movement of the capital in 2020. Vinalia held one of the largest diasporas in the world at the time of its reunification, and under the premise of non-alignment, Vinalia maintains relations and embassies in most countries. Such vast diplomatic presence has been criticized for its costs in recent years.
