The Burger Rebellion was a conflict between the Furbish government and the Burgers in northern Isla Sin Valor.

Dissatisfied with rampant inflation, corruption, discrimination, democratic backsliding, and a violent suppression of a northern railroad worker strike, a group of 19 Dutch speaking gendarmes deserted, founding the Burgers and recruiting locals. They waged a guerilla campaign against government forces, resulting in the government's collapse and Time of Troubles.

Background

Early campaigns

The first action in the rebellion was the Battles of Nijverdal, taking place around Maastricht, Nijverdal, and other villages in Willemia near the Saint-Denis River. One company was sent to hunt down the deserting gendarmes, which retreated after facing heavy casualties. The company returned reinforced by two more but were also driven back. The Prairial-Messidor campaign followed, which saw large gains in territory controlled by the Burgers. Villages and smaller towns were captured
