The Burger Rebellion was a conflict between the Furbish government and the Burgers in northern Isla Sin Valor.
Dissatisfied with rampant inflation, corruption, discrimination, democratic backsliding, and a violent suppression of a northern railroad worker strike, a group of 19 Dutch speaking gendarmes deserted, founding the Burgers and recruiting locals. They waged a guerilla campaign against government forces, resulting in the government's collapse and Time of Troubles.

The Prairial-Messidor campaign followed, which saw large gains in territory controlled by the Burgers. Villages and smaller towns were captured
