Since independence in 1805, The Furbish Islands has created a number of orders, decorations, and medals awarded for heroism or service to the country.

History

National orders

All orders are listed in order of precedence. They may be of higher or lower in precedence to the awards below.

Order of Equality Commander (COE) 1875 Awarded by the Directory under advice for the government for "exceptional work in promoting the value of Equality anywhere in the world".

Order of Defense Merit Commander (CDM) Awarded by the Ministry of Defense for "exceptional work in defending" the country. In practice every officer and NCO with 20 over years of service is given this award. Foreign soldiers serving in units under Furbish command can also be given this award.

All decorations in each section are listed in order of precedence. They may be of higher or lower precedence to the orders listed above and to the civilian awards and awards of other branches listed below.

Ribbon Name letters Established Awarded to/for/by
Republican Cross RC Highest Furbish military honor. Awarded for "the most extraordinary bravery, devotion, heroism, or self-sacrifice in the face of the enemy". A soldier has to be cited by officers from more than one branch. Can be awarded to foreign soldiers or units serving under Furbish command.

Gendarmery
