The Amathia national football team (Amathian: Ⰵⰽⱍⰹⱂⰰ Ⱀⰰⱌⰹⱁⱀⰰⰾⱐ ⰴⰵ Ⱇⱁⱅⰱⰰⰾ ⰰ Ⰰⰿⰰⱅⱍⰹⰵⰹ , tr.Echipa Națională de Fotbal a Amathiei), represents Amathia in competitions of international men's football. Founded in 1903 by Amathian students returning from Gaullica, the team was disbanded in 1946 by the Equalist regime and was only reestablished in 1953. A sign of national pride, the team had its finest period in the 1980's and 1990's, before neglect led to a period of incredibly frustrating near misses, with the Red Squires failing to quality in all tournaments between 2000 and 2018.
