Damián Salasar Torrero NA (born 28 February 1967) is a Carlosian politician, accountant and Army veteran. He is the Secretary-General of the Synarchist Union. Torrero has served as a National Assemblyman for Secos & Tragal since 2006. After seeing frontline service in the Bourgougian Blitz, he stayed in the military and enrolled in cadet school, retiring with the rank of Captain in 2002. The same year, he joined the Synarchist Union after being convinced to do so by Army colleagues. He quickly rose through the ranks of the party, achieving electoral success in 2005 when he became a National Assemblyman amidst an unexpected surge in support for the Synarchists. After a crushing defeat for the party in the 2010 election, Torrero managed to narrowly retain his seat and was subsequently elected as leader of the party. In the 2015 election, despite a slightly increased percentage of first-preference votes, the Synarchist Union again lost seats. He survived a leadership challenge in 2016.

Torrero has been described as fascist and ultraconservative. He is supportive of the total ban on abortion and gay marraige, and is for capital punishment. He refers to himself as a traditionalist Catholic. Under Torrero, the Synarchist Union and the ruling National Salvation party have had a reasonably warm relationship and, while not in government, has often been the only other party to support National Salvation in votes in the National Assembly.
