The Formula A World Championship is an Aeian motor racing championship for Formula A cars which would be recognised by the governing body of international motorsport, the Societat Internationale d'Automobila (SIA), as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars. The competition has taken place since the inaugural event in 1952 and has been held on a yearly basis since then. Each year comprises a season which contain a number of races, known as Grand Prix which are held worldwide on purpose built circuits and public roads.

Formula A cars are the fastest road course racing cars in Aeia, owing to very high cornering speeds achieved through the generation of large amounts of aerodynamic downforce as well as the usage of V8 engines capable of speeds up to 375 km/h (233 mph). The cars themselves are dependent on technological innovations in the usage of electronics, suspension systems, aerodynamics, along with high-performance slick tyres and experimental fuels. The composition of the cars has changed dramatically over time, with their construction governed by a series of regulations produced by the SIA which tend to change every few years.

The upcoming 2018 championship is due to be contested over a number of Grands Prix held in different countries throughout Aeia. Drivers and teams are scheduled to compete for the titles of Aeian Drivers' Champion and Aeian Constructors' Champion respectively.
