TRI-G AE + HW is a subgroup of TRI-G. The band associated with New Akibander singer, Helene Wakabayashi and it consists of the more active band members of the main group due to its Quenminese, Joyonghean, and Bethausian singers being inactive for a period of time. It was formed on October 21, 2018.
The reasons for inactivity were:
- Jennifer Ly announce that she would cease activities due to her call of duty for the Quenminese Civil War;
- Sumiko Pham had retired from the group in order to focus on family building with her husband, Ukyo Samonji;
- Thu Thidar Yadana announced she would be inactive due to her duties and her dedication for the Bethausian Civil War;
- Seon Myung-dae announced her maternity leave and is expecting to have a second child with her husband, Richard Philip Todd.
Originally, Bernice Cu was originally included in the line-up but was unfortunately killed-in-action and that the plan for it was cancelled.
The group has mostly engaged in boosting of military and civilian morale as well as helping out in various veteran and charity institutions by conducting concerts, where the proceeds would go to these institutions.
