The The royal guard is the with the royal and federal navy one of the largest parts of Krigsmakten and is tasked with fighting the enemies on the ground.
Overview
The royal guard can be traced back to the warriors that served the Auf Stjärnkhrone family before the founding of the absolute royal federation and the kingdom of Imeriata before that. When Emanuel the first were able to conquer and unite the Imerian part of the continent so were the royal guard formed as the family's personal army that would allow them to keep control of their domains.
It was however first centuries later on when the idea of a standing army that the modern royal guard started to take shape when standing regiments started to replace companies of hirds loyal to noblemen.
Organization
Squad: 6 guardsmen, 1 sharpshooter, 1 grenade launcher carrier, 2 lance corporals, 1 corporal (total 11 men)
Squads are the smallest parts of the royal guard and consists of six guardsmen with two attached specialists to take the fight to the enemy in command of this unit is a corporal and his two lance corporals that serves as replacements and advisor to the corporal.
Superior squad: 2 squads, 1 squire, 2 heavy weapon crewmen (total 25 men) a superior squad is the main part of a platoon and is composed of two squads with a attached heavy weapon crew under the command of a squire.
Platoon: 4 superior squads, 1 squad, 1 knight, 1 squire lieutenant, 3 adjutants, 1 flag carrier (total 117 men)
A platoon is a smaller part of the royal guard regiment so it could be easier to command by the knight lieutenant and it is organised so it is composed of of four superior squads commanded by a squire commander with three adjutants and a flag carrier at his side while he is protected by a squad as his honour guard.
Regiment: 9 platoons, 2 superior squads, 1 lieutenant, 10 adjutants, 1 Knight lieutenant (total 1094)
The regiment is the primary unit in which the guard fights and every specific battlefield are left in the hands of the knight lieutenant to command and win while the squire commanders and commanders places them on the line to fight. For its structure is it divided into 9 platoons commanded by a knight lieutenant with 10 adjutants and a honour guard of two superior squads under the command of a lieutenant.
army: 100 regiments, 100 adjutants, 10 squire commanders, 20 superior squads, 1 platoon, 1 commander (Total: 109 678 men)
In a more detailed description of the royal guards structure so can we see here a army divided into a fighting force of 100 regiments commanded by 10 squire commanders each with a staff of 8 adjutants and a honour guard of 2 superior squads each those ten officers are then under the command of the commander with a entire platoon acting as his personal guard and 20 adjutants to help him to command his enormous military force.
Today so is there 81 field armies operating in the federation as either garrison troops, occupation forces or as units kept on standby for quick deployment would the need arise. The army of a realm is unique in the matter that it does not answer to the realm overlord in any official capacity but instead only obeys orders from the high command in Imerbürg and the military commander of the realm which by law cannot be the king's vassal.

Uniforms
The uniforms used by the royal guard varies largely in cut and design with individual realms either using a standard uniform or supplying their own cut and even colours. However despite this are there parts of the uniform that remains standardised such as rank insignia. Insignia is by regulation marked by Austrian knots on a red or white background that is kept on the end of the sleeves. Similarly are either shoulder straps or epaulettes standardised, while these do not mark rank as they often do in other countries are they instead embroidered by the regimental number and name. While collars are not standardised are they still kept in various cuts on all uniforms and are also marked with rank insignia.
