Sudius Latorus Regeferrarius (born 25 November 1971) is an Amalfitan politician and the princeps for the term 2015-2017. Born in Raemix, Mulliæ, he has been a Traditionalist Senator since 2001, when he was elected in a by-election for the district of Mullium.
Political career
Sudius Latorus Regeferrarius was elected to the city council in Raemix in 1997 and served a two year term. He moved to the neighbouring district of Mullium the following year and was shortly thereafter elected to a local council, but gave up his seat to run in a by-election for one of the district's three seats. He has been reelected at each subsequent election for the district.
Prior to his election as princeps in 2015, Latorus Regeferrarius was a Traditionalist frontbencher, known within the coalition government of the Republican and Traditionalist parties for often dissenting with leadership. His appointment to the office of princeps surprised many, as he had received fewer initial nominations than three other candidates including his own party leader. After three rounds of voting, he won by a two thirds majority.[1]
