The Arucian Cooperation Organization is an intergovernmental regional organization, comprised of five member states, one associate member, and four observer states situated in the Western Arucian Sea and Eastern Arucian Sea.
Established in 1988 with the Treaty of TBD, the Arucian Cooperation Organization promotes economic cooperation and integration between its member states, as well as to coordinate foreign policy among its members. To this end, the Arucian Cooperation Organization has established a common customs area in 1993, freedom of movement in 2003, and a common market in 2017 among its member states.
History
The Arucian Cooperation Organization has its roots in the aftermath of the Great War, when Estmere established the Oriental Commonwealth, which comprised of the Estmerish Colony of Imagua, the Estmerish-occupied Sanslumiere, and the Mandate of the Sabanas and Santi Aquila e Priscilla in late 1935. While this effort was extremely short lived, particularly after Estmere collapsed into chaos, leading to Sanslumiere declaring its independence, this was seen as a proof of concept that cooperation can be done between states in the Arucian.
In 1938, the Imaguan-Sanslumieran Friendship Treaty was signed, which established cooperation between the two countries on a matter of issues, mostly economic.

Structure
Chairman
The head of the Arucian Cooperation Organization, or the Chairman, is a position that rotates every three years among the heads of government of the member states of the Arucian Cooperation Organization, with the current holder as of 2020 being Sabanan Premier Giuliani Bianchi.
The responsibility of the Chairman of the Arucian Cooperation Organization is to help administer the day-to-day operations of the ACO (in a role analogous to that of a head of government), as well as represent the ACO at international events as the equivalent to a head of state.
Committees
As of 2020, there are five committees under the aegis of the Arucian Cooperation Organization, each devoted to a certain field of regional integration.
Committee | Acronym | Purpose |
---|---|---|
Committee for Finance and Planning | CFP | Coordinating financial policies among its members |
Committee for Foreign and Community Relations | CRÉC | Coordinating the ACO's foreign policy |
Committee for Trade and Economic Development | CCDÉ | Coordinating trade and economic development among its members |
Committee for Legal Affairs | CAJ | Advises the members of the ACO on how to deal with regional crime and security |
Committee for Budgetary Affairs | CAB | Providing a budget for the ACO |
Agencies
As of 2020, there are TBD agencies operating under the Arucian Cooperation Organization. While these organizations are autonomous, they all report back to, and receive funding from the Arucian Cooperation Organization.

Members
As of 2020, the Arucian Cooperation Organization has five full members, four observers, and one associate member participating in its institutions.
Associate members
