Oriens Borealis (pronounced /ɔərˈiːɛnz bɔəreɪˈɑːlɪs/; meaning 'north east') is a region of Amalfi. It covers an area of 4,799 pixels (whatever that means), and shares borders with two other regions in metropolitan Amalfi - Centralis and Occidens Borealis - and with Transuscana (a territory of Montesardi-East Adanzi) to the north.
The region is composed of five of the historical provinces of Amalfi, which were combined into one administrative area as part of the Local Government Act 1942. These provinces are Aegata, Garesi, Limoncia, Myras and Trasiminium. It is one of the most densely populated regions in Amalfi, with a major conurbation extending along most of its coastline including the national capital.
