Trasimene (pronounced /ˈtʃræzɪmiːn/; Amalfitan: Trasiminium) is the capital of Amalfi. With a population of 6,810,718, it is the most populous city in the country.
The city is located on a bay in the east of the country, at the mouth of the river Volurna.
