Noctis Lucis Caelum (28 June 1987) is the current King of the United Kingdom (co-ruling Tristain with Henrietta of Tristain), Rubrum, Zanarkand, New Akiba. Nihhon-koku, Tenebrae and Solheim as well as being a monarch of Jutland, Lestallum, Concordia, Nibelheim-Saxe-Hanover, Basel-Ebel and Altissia from 5 June 2008. And the last Lucian King of Gallia-Bruhl from 2008 to 2010. He is the 11th Emperor of Nihhon-koku and the 9th King of the Commonwealth Realms. He is the youngest Lucian monarch to ascend to the throne in modern times. He ascended on 2008 on the age of 21.

Noctis was the first Lucis Monarch born outside of Lucis since his 6th Great-Grandfather, Georgius II (who was born in the German state of Brunswick in Germania): He was born and brought up in Akihabara, Nihhon-Koku. As the youngest son of Regis Lucis Caelum CXIII, he was not expected to inherit the throne and spent his early life in the shadow of his elder brother, Regius. From 2005 to 2007, Noctis served in the Royal Navy. He also served with the Royal Air Force and rose to the rank of Air Marshal. As a young man, He was loved by his sisters; especially his grandfather, The former King Regis Lucis Caelum CXII. He was also a skilled fisherman as the two always spent their time by the river or lake. He was also a vineyard worker and currently manages the plot. He served in the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force and afterward took on the usual round of public engagements. He married Lunafreya Nox Fleuret or "Luna" as He called her. Currently, They have 5 children. He is also the first King to have Nippon descent as His mother was a full-blooded Nippon as well as the first Lucis Monarch to marry a commoner despite his parents protests to which they eventually agreed.

Today, Noctis enjoys the popularity of the crown and support of the people. He is also regarded as one of the world's most active heads of state as well as taking credit for his immediate plans for restoring the UK after the Second Lucis Civil War.

Early Life

Noctis was born in the Herrenhausen Cottage at the Leine Palace in Akihabara in Nihhon-koku. He is the youngest of Regis and Aulea's children and grew up to be a very loved son. His grandfather, Regis Lucis Caelum CXII said that Noctis is his favorite grandchild ever since his older brother, Regius fell out of his favor due to his disobedience. His sisters, Marianne and Alicia loved the young child and would always play with him despite their busy schedules. In 1993, He was anointed as the Prince-Elector of Vasel, a city and province in Gallia-Bruhl (which was a commonwealth realm at that time) after his father relinquished the title. He then visited Bruhl when his father came to meet with his best friend, Belgen Gunther. Regis and Belgen were camarades during the Post-War of Lorican Aggression Crisis and Belgen never lost faith on his counterpart. It was here where Noctis met his best friend and future aide, Welkin Gunther. The two had one thing in common; They were both sons of popular figures in their country. Welkin and Noctis loved to play a lot and Noctis's sisters would always come to play with the two. This lasting friendship would continue to be the unbreakable bond that the two men currently have.

At the age of 7, He met his future wife and Queen, Lunafreya Nox Fleuret.

Reign

Second Lucis Civil War

His reign as King started during the first month of the Second Lucis Civil War. Along with his mother, Luna, friends and relatives; He evacuated from Lucis to Tristain la-Fontaine where his friend, Queen Henrietta of Tristain offered refuge to the Lucian and Northern Niflheimian Refugees. Accordo was still free from control as well as Northern Niflheim but the provinces had turned into a fully militarized zone and Tristain was the safest. From 2008 to 2010, He ruled Lucis from Tristain for 1 Year before he himself returned to Lucis to command the Lucis Armed Forces, being the first King in the modern times to do so.

Post-War Recovery

On the 9th of January, 2010; Noctis finally declared the end of the war with his new Prime Minister Ignis Stupeo Scientia. On his first day in Dettingen Palace, He ordered the immediate reconstruction of the major Lucian cities of Insomnia, York, Birmingham, Codsall, Cornwall, Manchester, Gatwick, Caernarvon, Dover and Nottingham as well as several cities including those of Niflheimian cities of Dublin, Tipperary, Galwick, Cork, Limerick, Kilkenny, and others. Engineers from Nihhon-koku, Zanarkand, Rubrum, New Akiba, Gallia-Bruhl, Concordia and other Commonwealth nations including the Erebonian Empire and Alteria went to Lucis and Niflheim to restore the cities. Noctis' first project as King was to restore all the damaged cities. He initiated the UK 2010 Plan with approval of Parliament, which was to restore the UK within 2 years given the numerous amounts of manpower, the size of Lucis and Niflheim and time management. The project was completed on November 25, 2012.

He was crowned on the 8th of August, X936 (2010) together with his wife, Lunafreya Nox Fleuret in the restoration to the throne in the presence of their friends and relatives.

Noctis also officiated the burial of his father Regis Lucis Caelum CXIII who was shot at the start of the war. He had his father's body lay-in-state in Insomnia for 5 days before it was enclosed in a refrigerated case in the Regis Lucis Caelum CXII Royal Open Cemetery where his body as well as of his grandfather, Regis Lucis Caelum CXII and grandmother was open to the public for public viewing guarded by the Coldstream Guards. Noctis hired his Dalmascan friend, Harry Kowalski to preserve his father's body.

Independence of Gallia-Bruhl

On 21st of February, 2010; Noctis questioned the future of Gallia-Bruhl since the Parliament could no longer support Gallia-Bruhl as opposed to Zanarkand, Nihhon-koku, New Akiba and other Commonwealth nations since the treasury was damaged due to the war. Noctis issued the Randgriz Agreement. There, it stated that Gallia-Bruhl would be given a full grant of independence, including building of its own parliament and lower house, currency, religion and others. Welkin Gunther, his childhood and best friend fully supported and guided him. He also insisted the establishment of a new position within the government; The Regent Lord of Gallia-Bruhl since Gallian Prime Ministers were known for supporting liberals and military minds and that there was to be someone to oppose their acts. Noctis approved since Gallia had incidents where Prime Ministers approve Military and Corrupt Liberal policies in the early 2000s. Noctis had his friend, Archduchess Cordelia gi Randgriz to appoint her Regent Lord. Ever since the independence, the Regent Lord's position has been in vote.

On August 18, 2010 at Randgriz Palace in front of many civilians, Noctis personally lowered down the Lucian Flag while Welkin raised the Gallian flag, signifying the end of Lucis Sovereignty over Gallia for 190 Years. Today, Gallia still retains some Commonwealth laws while others were revised. The Flag Law was that the Lucian Flag can still be displayed with the Gallian Blue Ensign but the flag poles for it had to be shorter than the flag pole for the Gallian Flag. This was done to preserve Gallia's Commonwealth Identity. Today, Gallia-Bruhl is still a member of the Commonwealth of Nations under Noctis.

Road to the, and the Imperial Crisis

Personal Life

Noctis is very shy and quiet in his early life. He was also prone to stammering but his friend, Welkin Gunther guided him in his struggle until he no longer needed a guide to speak in public.

As the King of the United Kingdom, He wears the Ring of the Lucii, an ancient Lucian artifact that is believed to access the power of the crystal hidden deep at Dettingen Palace until the restoration of the crystal into its pedestal. He is also a descendant of Dath'Remar, an ancient Europan Hero that united Europa from the UK to Remiferia to from Europea. It has been said that if his warhammer can be wielded by one, He is confirmed as a true descendant of him. Noctis has ever since kept the warhammer from public eyes until the Commonwealth Crisis when he dueled with Ravus Nox Fleuret whom he managed to kill when the latter tried to use the greathammer against him.

Marriage to Luna

In a time when royals were expected to marry fellow royals, it was unusual that Noctis had a great deal of freedom in choosing a prospective wife. An infatuation with the already-married Lucian socialite Claire Farron came to an end in April X926 when the King, with the promise of the dukedom of Herrenhausen, persuaded Noctis to stop seeing her. That year, he met for the first time since childhood Lady Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, the youngest daughter of the Duke of Fleuret and Wallendar. He became determined to marry her. She rejected his proposal twice, in X929 and X930, reportedly because she was reluctant to make the sacrifices necessary to become a member of the royal family. In the words of Lady Elizabeth's mother, Albert would be "made or marred" by his choice of wife.

When he declared he would marry no other by his own words that "Her pure heart, soul and character she had made me think that there's no one else.", his mother, Queen Lucia, visited Fleuret at Tenebrae to see for herself the girl who had stolen her son's heart. She became convinced that Luna was "the one girl who could make Nocty happy", but nevertheless refused to interfere.

After She had refused his proposal for a second time, Regis became against the possibility of Him being married to Her but would grant him his freedom on the condition that She would agree to his third proposal and possibly the last. On the night of December, Noctis spent the Christmas night with her and the two finally shared a romantic moment. By the following month, Luna finally agreed. The Second Lucis War erupted on June, causing the Royal Family, including Noctis and Luna to flee to Esthar. Their marriage didn't happen until a week after the war ended in July of X936. They were married on the 20th of July, X936 on Herrenhausen Abbey at Insomnia. His childhood friend, the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and legitimized member, Ignis Stupeo Scientia acted as the best man. During the wedding, He sobbed for not having his father in his wedding. Regis died at the start of the war due to a gunshot. However, His loving mother's words comforted him.

The two spent their first honeymoon at Glasgowia, Accordo where Luna and Noctis stayed on Georgius Cottage. To Luna, "It was the most pleasant time with him"

Interest and Personal Endeavors

Noctis and Luna admitted to being fans of Nihhonese Anime, Video Games and Songs. Noctis stated that his favorite anime is Pure Engagement and has done monthly re-watch of Love Hina with Luna. He is also a video gamer as well as a listener of N-Pop. He also stated that his interest had done nothing to hinder his royal duties.
