List of political parties in Amalfi

Amalfi has a multi-party system with a broad political spectrum represented both at a national level and at the level of local government. The Senate of Amalfi has traditionally been dominated by only two or three of the major parties at any given time, and, while forming a government with an absolute majority is possible, coalition governments tend to be far more viable and common.

The 450 seats available in the Senate are divided among the state's eight regions on the basis of population. Regional administrations then allocate their seats at the districtual level.
