The Brnfield LMG (nicknamed the Burny) is a series of light machine guns (LMG) made in Great Lucis in the 1930s and used in various roles until 1992. It is best remembered for its role as the primary infantry light machine gun deployed by Lucis Commonwealth forces' during the Second Europan War and in the early stages of the War of Lorican Aggression. While fitted with a bipod, it can also be mounted on a tripod or as a vehicle-mounted weapon. It is widely considered to be the best light machine gun of the Second Europan War.

The Brnfield LMG was a licensed version of the Alterian LK33 light machine gun which, in turn, was a modified version of the LK 26, which Lucis Army officials had tested during a firearms service competition in the 1930s. The later Brnfield featured a distinctive top-mounted curved box magazine, conical flash hider, and quick change barrel. The name Brnfield was derived from Brnun, the Alterian city in Southern Alteria, where the LK 26 was designed and Elfield, site of the Lucis Royal Small Arms Factory. The designer was Josef Strnad, a gun inventor and design engineer. The captured samples of the Brnfield were highly praised by the Imperial Quenminese Army that they copied a design under the designation Trinh-Hoang 96 light machine gun.

It remained in service until 1957 and was replaced by the Erebonian-Gallian made RT GPSMG but remained as a supplement until 1965.
