Indefinite Color Realms IIwiki page regarding the Glowstone Isles
History
The Glowstone Isles fell near the Crown Royal sometime in 1400 AR. The island cluster landed 20 km from Vladirostock (Olden-day Korolya), fell on top of an underwater volcano hours before it was predicted to erupt. The Moonlit Bastille, the capital, is the rebuilt ruins of a fallen fortress, where most of the population resides. Over 200 years, two smaller towns had formed in the Glowstone Isles. The regional capital was established as the Moonlit Bastille, which also happens to be the largest city in the isles.
Geography
The Glowstone Isles houses around 30'000 people and has a total area of about 65 Square-Kilometers. It consist of about 20 steep islands of varying size grouped together. The island cluster is located 22km south from Korolya, having fallen onto the underwater volcano 'Chimmney'.
The isles contain a certain type of rock that glows faintly white, reminding of moonlight. This makes the isles shimmer slightly at night.
Glowstone Isles Autonomous Area/Special Autonomous Zone
The Glowstone Isles is designated as the Glowstone Isles Autonomous Area [GIAA] and as a Special Autonomous Zone. While being part of the Crown, they retain their sovereignty over the laws of their land, and the Glowstone Isles can decide for themselves who goes in and out. It's also a general no-fly zone for most commercial flights. As the Moonlit Bastille's uncountable towers were deemed a flight hazard by the Crown Air ministry. Fey-owned ships frequently shuttle to and from Vladirostock, as they were recognized as an 'Alternate means for transport', and granted special permission to be used by the Crown.
Cities and Settlements
Moonlit Bastille
The Moonlit Bastille is the capital of the Glowstone Isles, and is the size of a small city built with Glowstone. When the Bastille fell from the sky with the rest of the land, many parts of it were shattered. The survivors of the lands gathered themselves in the ruin to take shelter and slowly built a small fey-city. The Bastille is always full of activity. It expands, as it is slowly built up ever grander. The Bastilla is filled with many large towers piercing the sky. The architecture was layered, with uncountably many bridges connecting all the parts of the huge castle.
At night, the city shines like the moon's surface. This serves as a great tourist attraction, usually drawing in small crowds of people to watch this phenomenon.
Mirror-Haven
Mirror-Haven is a small port-town further away from the capital. It gains it's name from the unusually reflective water, that seems to make all light more vibrant. The potent reflection of light makes dawns and dusks especially spectacular, bringing in a melodic and magical atmosphere. The town is full of melody.
Echo-Pick
Echo-Pick is a small town in the side of a mountainous island. It was originally a station for mining the precious Glowstone. The mountain seems to be larger on the inside, to have some other anomalous properties, as any tunnel mined, no matter how deep, has not yet been able to reach an end. The deeper one goes, the more one hears strange echoes.
Goverment
The Best Court
The highest governmental body of the Glowstone Isles is the Best Court, formed every 7 seasons.
