University of Tofino (UoT) is a private research university in Tofino, Zamastan. Chartered in 1793 by the Zian colonial government and later reinstituted in 1805 by the Provincial Legislature, UoT was founded by a group of Tofinites led by then Secretary of State Avi Taures. In 1793, the initial non-denominational all-male institution began its first classes near Governor's Residence based on a curriculum focused on a secular education. The university, in 1833, then moved and has maintained its main campus in Douglass surrounding Cook Park. Since then, the university has added an engineering school in Kingston and graduate schools throughout the Armitage downtown districts. UoT has become the largest private university in Zamastan by enrollment, with a total of 92,848 enrolled students, including 67,733 undergraduate students and 25,115 graduate students, in 2019. UoT also receives the most applications of any private institution in Zamastan and admission is considered highly selective.

UoT is organized into 10 undergraduate schools, including the College of Arts & Science, Hodges School, Steinberg School of Sciences, Croney School of Business, Wagner School of Engineering, and the Euclide School of Arts. UoT's 15 graduate schools include the Bouchard School of Medicine, Graser School of Law, Carr Graduate School of Public Service, School of Professional Studies, School of Social Work, Steen School of Nursing, and Silver School of Social Work. The university's internal academic centers include the Yost Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Center for Data Science, Center for Neural Science, Monroe Institute, Institute for the Study of the Ancient World, Institute of Fine Arts, and the UoT Montcamble Health System. UoT is a global university with degree-granting campuses at UoT Sulifa and UoT Shanghan, and academic centers in Rhaga, Kuye, Vongane, Sainte Marie, Saint Raneau, Norasa, Kasema, Allengin, Viitaniemi, San Beausoleil, Vilanja, Cardoza, Staventer,

Past and present faculty and alumni include 4 Presidents of Zamastan (Quinn Werner, Cassious Castovia, Foley Sakzi, and Sabine Armitage), multiple other heads of state, several prominent lawmakers, actors, athletes, and billionares.
