The Lost Boys (Hytek: Pazudušie zēni, Juznik: Pasiklydę berniukai, Alemannic: Verlorene Jungen, Kustlandic: Ferlern Jonges, Liidurian: Kadunud poisid, Lhedwinic: Tabte drenge, Navish: Tapt gutter) are a Hytek street gang founded in Krasno in 1987 that currently operate throughout Alemannia and Lhedwin. They are involved in many aspects of the criminal underworld but are most famous for their murders, in which crosses are etched into the eyes of their victims, usually with deep knife cuts. Operating mainly out of Hytekia, where many of the police officers are bribed to let the organisation continue to run, the gang has expanded its presence across almost all of Northern Asura and has established two major drug trade routes dubbed the "Cocaine Silk Roads" - one running from Hytekia to Lhedwin and the other running from Hytekia to Mascylla.

One of the most notorious and violent gangs in Aeian history, their membership is estimated to be around 90,000 by the Navish police and drug enforcement, making them one of the largest gangs in the world.

History

Founded in a rundown district of Krasno during the Hytekojuznik Civil War by an unknown group of disgruntled veterans of the war, the gang is rumoured to have been founded on the principles of anti-government hatred after they were cast aside by Muceniece's assembly for being unfit to fight. One of the founders was homosexual, widely frowned upon in the Hytek military at the time. The small street gang initially made its revenue by selling hard drugs - mainly heroin - to returning veterans and the homeless in Krasno, which due to the limited competition in the Hytek drug trade, immediately skyrocketed the gang's revenue. They progressed into the field of illegal firearms trading in 1988, trading many with the fighting Juznik Liberation Army, headed by now-Juznik prime minister Ričardas Petrauskas - trading as many as 200 automatic rifles across the poorly-adminstrated Hytek portion of the Gulf of Alemannia to Juznia per day. On October 18, 1988, Hytek police raided a suspected Lost Boys' hideout and arrested three members of the gang for drug trafficking, weapons smuggling and treason, landing all three the death penalty. On October 21 of the same year, while the three were awaiting execution in Krasno National Prison, the intelligence quarter of the JLA broke the three out of the prison, escaping on an unregistered motorboat from the Svarziem Port in the city's west wing. They arrived in JLA-occupied Grobina three hours later and the three assailants were granted asylum in Juznia. The three migrated to Visnevas and began the Juznik wing of the Lost Boys.

Following the conclusion of the civil war, the subsequent de-escalation in Alemannia allowed the gang to expand rapidly across the subcontinent, establishing strong presences in Tudonia, Kustlan and Mascylla throughout the first half of the 1990s. One particular infamous incident, the 1995 Südfälische Bank Heist, in Tudonia, the largest in Aeian history, cemented the Lost Boys as a major Alemannic street gang fighting force, and the gang were essentially unrivalled throughout the subcontinent. In 1997 the gang expanded their drug trade to the Liidurian city of Anlaufhafen, finding great success in the highly-populated city, eventually expanding their trade to mainland Liiduria in 1998 and 1999, particularly in Edressder. By the turn of the millennium, the gang were turning in tens of millions in estimated drug profit, which they used to pay off many Hytek police officers, particularly in Krasno, where many are underpaid. The lack of a police presence rapidly grew the gang and much of the Krasnoid youth were heavily influenced by the gang's major presence in the city. Crime skyrocketed in the city as the Lost Boys' had free reign over some of the poorer and run-down districts of the city, opening the Casino de Trouvé (Casino of the Found in Newreyan), in 2001, marking their first expansion into the illegal gambling business.

The Lost Boys expanded into Lhedwin in 2002 with the establishment of routes from Liiduria, Juznia and Alriika to Glanodel, primarly Broskov and Graylund, where the first Lhedwinic Lost Boy settlements were established. From the two cities the gang formed a presence across the northern Lhedwinic country, gaining a strong foothold in Lhedwin with their main Lhedwinic operations coming out of Vaenholm, a tradition that sticks to this day. In 2003 they expanded down into central Lhedwin and Navack, expanding their trade to Gardrag, another major Lhedwinic port where some theorised the gang would expand their trade worldwide and begin exporting to Vestrim from the western port. In 2004 they fought the Hudenholm Gang War with local Navish gang Bondegjeng, where 27 were murdered on the streets of the city. Their victory in the conflict marked their presence in Navack, one of their most profitable nations to date. Further expansions into Crylante in 2005, Crethia in 2008 and Ostry in 2012 finalised the Lost Boys' full Lhedwinic expansion.

Membership

While the Lost Boys are comprised of many separate sub-gangs comprising one larger unit running out of Krasno - it is estimated that the total membership of all of the sub-gangs operating throughout northern Asura is around 90,000 - making them the largest organised crime gang in Aeia. Most of their members operate in Hytekia (17,000 est.), Juznia (7,800 est.) and Tudonia (7,000 est.) - where they hold significant influence. The Lost Boys typically target the poorer population of the countries they operate it, and as such, the ethnic makeup of the gang is predominantly white, although some Majulans, Cataians, Vestrins and Rennekkans exist throughout the gang in minorities.
