Operation Modi (Vierz: Unternehmen Modi) was the code name for the Vierz invasion of Luepola in 1979, the opening confrontation of the Luepolan War. The invasion began on 7 August, two weeks after Luepola's unilateral withdrawal from the Central Patyrian Cooperation Association in the aftermath of the March Uprising.
